Approach to Therapy:

My clients know themselves better than anyone else, and it's my honor to support them in becoming their most authentic selves. Coming from a never-ending multitude of cultures, backgrounds, and previous relationships (intimate or otherwise), I hope to help you create meaning in your lived experiences and provide a safe space in which to do so. My approach to therapy is collaborative, and I invite curiosity, compassion, and humor into the therapeutic space. I strive to cultivate an open, honest relationship with my clients to help them achieve their goals. Utilizing a systemic lens, I aim to support clients in integrating their past experiences with where they are now to help them move forward with a greater understanding of self.

Clinical Interests:

I work with individuals, couples/dyads+, and families struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, communication, and life transitions. As a queer woman of color, I lead with curiosity in working with clients of diverse backgrounds. I aim to explore and affirm each intersecting identity, including, but not limited to, LGBTQIA, Kink, and Poly identities. Additionally, as an adoptee, I have a particular interest working with those who are adopted or are considering adoption, as well as working with blended families. I also work from both a body and sex-positive lens and am passionate about exploring the body-mind relationship with clients.

Education and Training:

I hold a master’s degree in couple and family therapy from Adler University. I am trained in Systemic Theory, and work from various modalities depending on my client’s needs. At times, this may include some somatic work, mindfulness, art, and play therapy. Additionally, I work from a trauma-informed and culturally competent lens and am progressing toward completing Level 1 & 2 Gottman Method Training.
